Air Grand Canyon is an airline headquartered on the grounds of Grand Canyon National Park Airport in the Tusayan census-designated place in unincorporated Coconino County, Arizona, United States.[2][3] Air Grand Canyon an air tour company flying tourists on sight-seeing flights around the Grand Canyon from its base at the Grand Canyon National Park Airport. The airline is run by a single family and was established in 1979. [1]

History

Air Grand Canyon began public service in 1979 and on 31 October 1981, services out of Grand Canyon National Park Airport were inaugurated. The airline started services with a single Cessna 207 and only 2 staff. [1]

In its 30 year history, Air Grand Canyon has flown 77,000 flights and carried over 250,000 passengers.[4] The carrier now operates a fleet of around 12 aircraft, including Cessna 207s and Cessna 182s making them the second largest fixed-wing air tour operator based around the Grand Canyon. [1]
